This site is not official. It is not run by the developer of the software it documents. It is not endorsed, sponsored or affiliated either.
Nobody here wrote that software, owns it, or speaks for whoever does.
Why we say this so plainly
Because several sites in this space imply otherwise. One states it outright, while handing out a different company's product under the name.
A site that calls itself official is asking you to trust a claim you cannot check. We would rather give you things you can check. The file's size. Its checksum. The build date the program prints about itself. A screenshot of the behaviour being described. Those hold up whether or not you believe anything else here.
Trademarks
Product names, brand names and trademarks here belong to their respective owners. They identify the software being discussed. That is nominative use, and mentioning them claims no ownership and implies no endorsement.
If you own a mark used here and you believe it is used incorrectly, write to admin@tiny-task.org and we will fix it.
About the files
Files here are copies of software published elsewhere by its own author. We do not modify, repackage, rebrand or recompile anything.
Each file carries its exact size and its checksum, so you can confirm your copy matches before running it. That check is the point. You do not have to take our word for the file, and you should not.
Where a file could not be verified, it is not hosted. Our position on authorship and licensing is on the credits page.
About the information
Everything here is checked before it is published, and where something has not been tested the page says so.
Even so, this is information, not a guarantee. Software behaves differently across machines, versions and configurations. An instruction here may not produce the same result on your setup. We cannot know what else is running on your computer.
Use your judgement. Back up anything that matters before automating anything that touches it.
Automation carries its own risks
Macro software does things on your computer quickly and without asking for confirmation. A mistake in a macro is executed as faithfully as a correct one.
Many games, online services and workplace systems prohibit automated input. Using automation with them can put an account or a job at risk. That consequence is yours. We publish no instructions for automating anything against its own rules.
No liability
TinyTask Reference accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from this site. That covers the information on it and any file downloaded here. The terms of use set it out in full.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us. Write to admin@tiny-task.org or use the contact page.
A specific correction with something we can verify is welcome. Pages here have been rewritten because a reader was right and we were not.
